There are fun splash parks & kids’ splash pads…all over town. So, find the perfect kids’ splash pad in Kansas City for you!

As a mom of little kids, it can be nerve-wracking for everyone when going to the pool. Splash pads are my family’s go-to summer things to do. Especially since most are free splash parks. If you love playing in the water, we’ve gathered a complete list of kids’ splash parks. You may be wondering “Where can I find a splash park near me?”

Missouri Splash Parks

Liberty City Park

Liberty City Park is open daily and has something for the whole family! They offer everything from jets to archways that are sure to cool everyone off. They even have a 50 gallon bucket. You can also find more info on this splash pad and other amenities online.

Ruth Moore Park

401 Grover St. Liberty, MO

The Ruth Moore Park is just a few minutes away from the City Park located in Liberty! They offer large water features, 10 foot sprays and splash pads for your kids to play on. They are also open daily for all ages!

Miller J. Fields Park

1301 South East 3rd Terrace

The Miller J Fields Park splash park is open daily from 10 am- 8 pm daily. It has plenty of grassy areas for picnics, as well as shaded tables that may be rented!

So, if you have a summer birthday coming up, check this place out! It’s one of the best splash pads in Kansas City (in our opinion)

Gillam Park Sprayground

Come visit the Gillam Park sprayground if you live near downtown KC. It’s one of the newest spray grounds in Kansas City, so there’s lots of nice equipment for you!

The sprayground is open daily from 11 am to 7 pm with free admission for all. You can also rent the shaded picnic areas for birthday parties or family gatherings! The water park will be open Saturday, Memorial Day through Labor Day Weekend.

Jacob L. Loose Park Splash Area

52nd Terrace and Summit Street, Kansas City

Located inside one of the most iconic parks in Kansas City, you will find the Loose Park sprayground! This free splash pad is open daily from 11 am- 7 pm and offers plenty of grassy areas to enjoy a picnic.

Jacob L. Loose Park also offers a play structure which is great for drying off after your family splashes around! There is also plenty of room for your kids to run around.

Central Park

Linwood Boulevard and Bales Avenue, Kansas City

If you need room to play, Central Park splash pad has tons of space.The Central Park sprayground is one of the best sprayground for younger kids.

There is plenty of space for them to walk/ crawl around and explore the water. They are open from 11 am-7 pm.

Burrus Old Mill Park

112 NW Woods Chapel Rd. Blue Springs, MO

This kid’s splash park is located at one of Blue Springs’s Oldest Parks. The splash area features a giant water bucket, shaded picnic tables & jungle-themed sprayers. There is also a playground, basketball court & skate park nearby if you have older children.

Seven Oaks Park

East 39th Street & Winchester Avenue, Kansas City

Open from 11 am – 7 pm daily, your family can enjoy this sprayground any day of the week! Seven Oaks spray park offers several water features as well as shaded picnic tables and free entry. The shelter is first come first served so be sure to get there early.

Spring Valley Park

East 27th Street and Woodland Avenue, Kansas City

Located in South Kansas City, Spring Valley Park spray park has several water features, and plenty of grassy areas for picnics and playing! They are also open daily from 11 am-7 pm. (most splash parks in Kansas City area)

Dagg Park

701 East 21st Avenue, North Kansas City

Open from 1 pm-8 pm on Monday and 10 am-8 pm Tuesday-Sunday, Dagg Park is a free spray ground just north of downtown Kansas City, MO. Dagg Park offers 2 shaded shelters and two splashing areas to ensure all kiddos have a fun safe time.

There is also plenty of grassy areas to set up chairs or a picnic area. Need to dry off before heading home? Dagg Park also has a park located inside the gates as well! The large playground is currently under renovation but everything else is open for use.

Harmony Park

East 10th Street & Agnes Avenue, Kansas City

This sprayground is located right in the heart of Kansas City and is open daily from 11 am-7 pm. The sprayground is open for all ages and it is free all day every day!

There is also a play structure located inside the park as well.

Blue Valley Park Sprayground

23rd Street and Topping, Kansas City

Blue Valley Park is also open from 11 am- 7 pm daily and offers free admission! With shaded picnic tables and ample play areas in the splash park, the whole family is sure to enjoy their time at this free splash pad!

Douglas Park Sprayground

2632 Jarboe Street, Kansas City

While the park itself has longer hours, parkgoers can enjoy the splash park from 11 am- 7 pm at no cost.

Sunnyside Park Splash Pad

8255 Summit Street, Kansas City

Perfect for the littles, this zero-depth splash pad has plenty of room for them to walk about the fountains of water without being overwhelmed with water or big structures.

This splash park is also open from 11 am-7 pm daily at no cost. One of the best fun, free summer activities for kids.

Longview Tract Spray Ground

7101 Longview Road, Kansas City

Located next to The Bay Waterpark, the Longview Tract sprayground operates off the same hours as the water park (noon-7 pm). They have a sheltered area that can hold up to 10 people as well as picnic tables.

Golden Oaks Park

North East 46th Street & North Antioch Road

The spray ground at Golden Oaks Park is an excellent free splash area and playground the family can enjoy if you live nearby. There are not many features – just a few jets and a concrete pad – so if you live far it may not be worth the drive. Be sure to bring your own chairs!

Garrison Square

4th Street and Forest Avenue, Kansas City

This sprayground is also open daily from 11 am-7 pm at no cost. Garrison Square has plenty of play space as well as an adjacent play structure for kids to play after they cool off. On the opposite side of the park, the large soccer field is great for running around and playing.

Lykins Square Splash Pad

East 8th Street and Myrtle Avenue, Kansas City

With several water features, this spray park can entertain your kiddos for hours. There are so many fun things to do.

This free splash pad is open daily from 11 am- 7 pm at no cost. Parkgoers can enjoy shaded and grassy picnic areas as well. So, bring a picnic lunch to eat with your family!

Parade Park Sprayground

1600 John “Buck” O’Neil Way, Kansas City

Parade Park sprayground offers multiple water fountains and ample play space. You can also enjoy a picnic at one of their several picnic tables too.

McCoy Park

24 Highway and North Delaware, Independence

McCoy Park is a splash pad in Independence, MO with plenty of water features. There are also plenty of areas to have a picnic.

They are closed Monday mornings for routine maintenance (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday).

Rotary Park

Operating the same schedule as McCoy Park, Rotary park is a secondary spray park located in Independence, MO. They also have plenty of grassy areas for lounging and multiple spray features. They even have a grill to cook up a great lunch while you play.

This splash pad is also closed Monday mornings for cleaning & maintenance.

John Anderson Park

4701 East 135 Street, Grandview

Located in Grandview, this splash park is definitely a must-see! With many water features and is open daily from 10 am- 7:30 pm. The park itself is currently being repaved, however the splash park is still open for the summer.

*note: weather must be above 75 for water to come on*

Roe Park

10400 Roe Avenue, Leawood, KS

The Roe Park splash pad is open daily following the park’s operating hours. Parkgoers can enjoy a self-activated water feature, as well as two play structures located adjacent to the splash park.

You can also walk along the nature path or have a picnic at this fun splash pad!

Sapling Grove Park

820 Grant Overland Park, KS

With plenty of shaded picnic areas, Sapling Grove Park is a hidden nature oasis! Parkgoers can enjoy a newly renovated splash pad as well as a new playground. If you live near Overland Park, you definitely want to check out this splash park!

Thompson Park Splash Park

8045 Santa Fe Dr. Overland Park, KS

This small spray ground is located inside a newer park in Overland Park. The city has been working hard to renovate the park for families to enjoy from all over. In addition to the floor water jets, there’s a playground, swings, and green space for children to play and more.

Lake Olathe Spray Ground

191 N Ward CliffDr. Olathe, KS

The Olathe spray ground offers three areas for water play. Each is meant for different ages, so small children can play without bigger children running around. Spray park areas feature spouts from large rocks.

Children can also play with outdoor instruments throughout the park. Park hours are 10 am to 8 pm with free entry for everyone. In addition to all other features, there is a swimming beach, lake with water activities, water obstacle course & tons more fun things to do in summer.

Pierson Park

1800 South 55th, Kansas City KS

The Pierson Park splash park is open daily during park hours. There is plenty of grassy areas for lounging as well as picnic tables. This park has a splash pad of good size and provides things for kids of different ages to enjoy.

They offer a variety of different water features for kids of all ages, so there are many kids’ activities for a full day of fun!

Eisenhower Park

2901 North 72nd Street, Kansas City, KS

This spray park has plenty of sitting areas as well as picnic tables & a pool. Eisenhower Spray Park offers multiple water features that can be enjoyed by everyone. There are bright colors throughout the spray ground as well as zero depth entry, perfect for handicap accessibility. Closed Monday. Tuesday to Saturday, open Noon to 7 and Sunday 2 pm to 6 pm.

This pool is $1 entry, but the spray park is free!

Heathwood Park

North 10th Street and Parallel Pkwy, Kansas City, KS

Heathwood Park is open daily, following the park’s hours of operation. This free spray park is available for all ages.

This spray ground located in Shawnee is open daily from 10:00 am- 8:00 pm. While there is no food or drink allowed in the spray ground area, you can set up a picnic nearby in the grassy areas.

This spray ground located in Shawnee is open daily from 10:00 am- 7:00 pm.

Big Bull Creek Park

20425 Sunflower Road Edgerton, KS

This nature park has self activated spray dots along the ground. There is ample space to observe and relax with the family.

*Pro tip* Pack plenty of snacks, water, and extra clothes/towels when heading to the splash park.

Also, if you have or can purchase water shoes, they are a great idea when your kiddos are playing in the water. Some of the grounds can get slippery and the last thing you want to do is heal boo-boos when you are out for a fun summer day…
