The successful candidate will handle a variety of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, and adoption. This role involves providing legal advice and guidance to clients, representing clients in court proceedings, drafting legal documents, and negotiating settlements. Duties and Responsibilities:Handle a variety of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, and adoptionProvide legal advice and guidance to clients on family law mattersRepresent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trialsDraft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, agreements, and ordersNegotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clientsConduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategiesPrepare for and attend mediations and arbitration sessionsMaintain regular communication with clients to keep them informed of case status and developmentsCollaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies and manage caseloadsStay current with developments in family law and participate in continuing legal education (CLE) opportunities Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in TexasExperience in family law, including handling divorce, child custody, and adoption casesAbility to manage a high-volume caseload and work independentlyProficiency in legal research and analytical skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to negotiate effectively and reach amicable settlementsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clientsAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretionProficiency with legal research tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite Certifications:Active license to practice law in Texas Experience:Experience in family law, including handling divorce, child custody, and adoption cases
