This month, Forza Horizon 5 offers an exciting update with four new cars, all available for free and can be unlocked through the Festival Playlist over the next four weeks. These vehicles are grouped under the theme 'High Performance Dailies,' and share the common characteristic of being on the brink of discontinuation.
One of these cars is the final Ford Fiesta ST. While the older Mk7 version has been a mainstay in the Forza series for years, this update marks the first appearance of the Mk8, the last generation of the Fiesta, which ceased production last year. This post-facelift ST version delivers 197 horsepower from a lively 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine. As one of the last small hot hatches, the end of its production was widely mourned in the automotive world, making its digital preservation in Forza Horizon 5 a fitting tribute.
Following closely behind the Fiesta in terms of discontinuation is its larger counterpart, the Ford Focus, set to be phased out next year. One of the last vehicles to feature this beastly engine is the Dodge Durango, which appears in its 2021 SRT Hellcat form in this update. This massive seven-seat SUV boasts 710 horsepower and is expected to be retired soon, marking the end of the Hellcat V8 era.
In addition to the new cars, the update includes four new race routes across the game’s Mexican setting, a new player outfit, and a new prop for the Eventlab race creator. The update is now available for download on both Xbox One and Series S/X.
