A friend of mine just introduced me to this. If you don't know what GeoGuessr is, it's a game that uses Google Maps. You are given a random location and need to look around the street view to figure out where you are. In this version, video game maps are used.
Current game maps include: Genshin Impact, Elden Ring, Skyrim, Fortnite, GTA V, and WoW: Shadowlands
Upcoming game maps include Red Dead Redemption 2, BOTW, Apex Legends, Escape From Tarkov, CoD Warzone, and FFXIV

Here are a couple of my Elden Ring guesses; I got a score of 14755, max score for all maps seems to be 25,000 (going by the leaderboards)

Oh I LOVE GeoGuessr (even if I suck at it). There goes my free time for the next week.

Wow I got 23000 in Elden Ring, it's crazy how well designed the map is that I only played it once a year ago but was still able to have a pretty spot on idea where all these random places were.

11500 points in Genshin even though I haven't played in literally a year. I never finished traversing Inazuma and NEVER got to Sumeru.

So wild that this has like a fully implemented street view.

besides the obvious signs of the environment and major landmarks, look for enemies as well
enemies appear on the map when you pinpoint, can make finding the exact spots a lot easier

23864 in Elden Ring!
Haven't played since its release but I played a shit ton of it so it wasn't that difficult.

22454 in Genshin Impact first try. I think I can do better! :)
Second try 24530 points.
Only the desert messes up my accuracy.

WoW Eastern Kingdoms was a bit easy, 25000, had like 300 Days played classic-lich though, interested to see if someone that only played a little would find it as easy.

The movement feels pretty jank in Genshin Impact, but otherwise, this is a really cool idea.
Got 21.5k in Genshin despite not really playing the game that much.
Can't wait until they put in FFXIV.

Been wishing for something like this for a while now. Made do with using the noclip site previously and trying to just not look at the URL or map loading information, but this is great.
The amount of effort that must have gone into this is incomprehensible. Very good that they show the upcoming maps too, looking forward to eventually guessing my way around Eorzea!

"Skyrim will be easy." (Given 3 different roads in Whiterun Hold that all look the same) "Oh, I see."
Wait… Final Fantasy XIV coming soon…? 👀

I haven't played WoW since Battle for Azeroth (and before that only sporadically). Got 22696/25000 with the last guess 1 meter away. I must say that that the Wow team have done a superb job in creating a style that allows for easy identification
15100/25000 in Skyrim. Much more samey environments than WoW

Genshin was my first try.
Elden Ring was my second, but with 5min limit and no move.
This is quite fun, tho I don't play a lot of games that would fit here. The only recent game I remember that could work here is Death Stranding, which I feel would be quite hard.

I gave it a go with Elden Ring and hit 20k, it's fun.
I'd really like to play when they add Apex Legends though.

nice.
GTAV map stays absolutely amazing.
So much detail giving each street a unique feel contributes to a sense of place that's still unmatched.
Scored 21.000
Curious to see RDR2, but that has tons of square miles of wilderness
The only other game from that list I spent 100+ hours on is Skyrim, but it's been a while and from what I remember the map is mostly samey
Btw no idea how they did this, there's obviously some sort of automated mod script grabbing 360 pics and possibly top down pics then stitch them together to build the map but it's still very impressive.
