You might already know that I had a flood in my apartment suddenly one evening on April 16. I was writing a article for Vogue Japan. It was due at midnight (noon in Tokyo), and I was finished with my 7,528-word piece and was doing spell check when suddenly there was a pounding on my door. It was the building maintenance man saying that he needed to check my bathroom for a flood.
Dumbfounded, I welcomed him in and showed him that there was no flood at all in the larger of my two bathrooms. He asked me to next show him my tiny bathroom in my bedroom, and when I opened the door to my bedroom I was horrified. I felt my bare feet on squishy, soaked-with-water, wall-to wall carpeting. The water had oddly taken a right turn into my neighbor’s apartment.

Your July 2024 Horoscope for Virgo

You are not known to be a party person, for as a Virgo, you take your work seriously and like to be productive at all times. This month will be special. Your chart for July is simply glorious for taking time off to have fun.
The month opens with a beautiful new moon July 5 in Cancer, 14 degrees. It will brilliantly light your eleventh sector, which ancient astrologers called “the house of joy.” It is the area of your chart that is the repository of your personal hopes, dreams, and wishes, and where the fairy-tale concept of capturing that dream emanates, and you can “hold it in the palm of your hands.” It could be any kind of desire—material, such as hoping to be able to own your own home, or a spiritual dream, such as to earn a scholarship to study at the university because you have no other means to attend.
The best way to approach a dream is to start to gather information, make a first step, large or small. Just as importantly, you must start on the one new moon of 2024 that will fall in your solar eleventh house—and for Virgo this will happen on July 5. The sooner you take a step toward achieving a dream, the better. A new moon will always be strongest in the first three days AFTER it appears, and in truth you have about seven to 10 days, but those first three are the best days to initiate an action.
The new moon of July 5 will also help you see friends and possibly make a new friend. Your social life will show a noticeable uptick, so you could either entertain in your home or go out to meet others. This would be a good time to join a club, whether it be professional or purely social. Saturn in Pisces will send a comforting beam to the new moon in Cancer, and if you are about to sign a contract with a business colleague or expert (such as an agent, publicist, social media manger, A.I. consultant, and so forth), then this new moon July 5 and the handful of days that follow will be the right time to sign. Marriage is a contract too, and this new moon would be an equally superb time to get engaged or wed, for Saturn suggests your union will be long-lasting. Mars will also be friendly to the Sun and new moon, giving you the impetus to get going on your decision.
